40 years ago, people of Denmark owned bikes but didn't use them very often. Today, there are 2.5 million bikes on the road. What you see here is just a small parking lot of bikes. These parking lots are everywhere. Because of the bikes, the water in the harbor does not smell, the city is clean and everyone stays in shape.....not sure how that happens though when this is the country where people drink the most alcohol and smoke the most cigarettes. Rob and I loved the biking.....couldn't leave without trying to maneuver through the city on them. (and believe me we were in some EXTREMELY populated areas)
